Past Racing

2002

Chloe’s first-ever race, 24 Hours in Moab with a Junior Women’s squad, did not go well. She broke down during her firsts night lap, a first of many biomechanicals while racing. She decided racing was not for her, but xyz changed her mind.

2004

Junior X National Champion, Mammoth Lakes, Calif.

UCI Mountain Bike World Championship team member, Les Gets, France. Her bike, a 1996 Trek 8700 with V-Brakes, received quite a bit of attention at the race, which she thought was pretty cool.

2005

Junior X National Champion, Mammoth Lakes, Calif.

Expert Short Track National Champion, Mammoth Lakes, Calif.

Finished 4th in her first road race at the 2005 Junior 17-18 Road Nationals in Park City, Utah (on a borrowed bike, too). Chloe experienced her first road crash and subsequent road rash the day before the race. During the race, she dropped her chain in the final 2km while battling with another racer. The racer, instead of attacking immediately, waited for Chloe to put her chain back on and resume racing—then attacked. This gesture of sportsmanship left a huge impression on Chloe.

2005 UCI Mountain Bike World Championship team member, Livigno, Italy, 9th place finish.
